From 11 to 14 April 2025, “Salerno Wanders” took place, an exclusive experience dedicated to promoting the area on international markets, organised by the Salerno Chamber of Commerce.
Twelve buyers and four journalists from London and Paris took part in an Educational Tour to discover Cilento and the splendid province of Salerno, the local cultural, scenic and enogastronomic wonders, with visits to Paestum, Vietri sul Mare, Cilento and the Amalfi Coast.
The “Salerno Costa d’Amalfi” airport is confirmed as a strategic infrastructure for the relaunch of tourism in the province of Salerno and Cilento, which is attracting increasing interest.
At the end of the three days as visitors, the buyers met local operators at the Savoy Hotel in Paestum to discuss possible forms of partnership.
Our objective turned out to be in line with that of the French and British buyers: to offer a quality service in discovering the natural wonders, tradition, and hospitality of Salerno, Cilento, and the Amalfi Coast.
An essential element for the development of quality tourism is also the willingness to welcome congress tourism, demonstrated by the presence of hotels and conference rooms in the areas of Paestum, Agropoli or Santa Maria di Castellabate. These are strategic points for building an event that is also “experiential”: through days of discovery of the netural, enogastronomic and cultural beauties that the Cilento region can offer.
